VST Tillers drops after poor sales in June

VST Tillers Tractors lost 2.27% to Rs 2,260 at 11:06 IST on BSE after the company reported slide in sales of power tillers and tractors in June 2018 over June 2017.

The announcement was made after market hours yesterday, 3 July 2018.

Meanwhile, the S&P BSE Sensex was down 45.89 points, or 0.13%, to 35,332.71.

On the BSE, 507 shares were traded in the counter so far, compared with an average volume of 3,094 shares in the past two weeks. The stock had hit a high of Rs 2,279.55 and hit a low of Rs 2,245 so far during the day. The stock had hit a record high of Rs 3,085 on 24 April 2018. The stock had hit a 52-week low of Rs 1,935 on 27 September 2017.

The small-cap company has an equity capital of Rs 8.64 crore. Face value per share is Rs 10.

VST Tillers Tractors announced that the company's total sales of power tillers and tractors declined 24.42% to 3,819 units in June 2018 over June 2017. Sales of power tillers dropped 28.08% to 2,948 units. Sales of tractors fell 8.7% to 871 units.

VST Tillers Tractors' net profit rose 58.59% to Rs 33.70 crore on 25.72% growth in total income to Rs 250.96 crore in Q4 March 2018 over Q4 March 2017.

VST Tillers Tractors manufactures power tillers, tractors, paddy transplanters and diesel engines.
