One person was killed and three others injured when an under-construction rail overbridge collapsed on the railway track at Bihar's Sasaram railway station on Saturday, police said.
It disrupted the rail movement on the Grand Chord section of the Howrah-New Delhi route, the police said.
"A labourer engaged in construction of the rail overbridge died on the spot after a big portion crushed him," the Railway police said.
A railway official at the Sasaram railway station, however, denied reports of several others being trapped in the rubble.
He said that heavy rainfall in the last two days may have led to the collapse.
"But it is a matter of investigation as to what caused the collapse," he said.
