11 killed as bus overturns in Egypt

At least 11 people were killed and five others seriously wounded Saturday as a passenger bus overturned and caught fire on a highway in Egypt's northern province of Sharqiya, media reported.

The tragedy took place on Cairo-Ismailia highway after front-left tyre of the speeding bus blew out, Xinhua reported.

Firefighters and ambulances rushed to the scene and managed to rescue five passengers after cutting through the doors of the vehicles that was completely burnt down.
