25 killed, 55 injured in bombing near Pakistan church

At least 25 people were killed and 55 wounded in a suicide bombing near a church in Pakistan's Peshawar city Sunday morning, media reported.

Among those injured were children and women, the Dawn newspaper reported.

Earlier reports suggested that only five people were wounded but later on officials confirmed that 55 people have been injured in the attack.

The victims were shifted to the city's Lady Reading Hospital, the report said.

According to security officials, the bombing was reportedly carried put by a suicide bomber.

However, they declined to give more details, the Dawn report said.
