Around 28% of respondents are yet to deposit their old Rs 500 and Rs 1,000 currency notes in the bank and plan to do it before December 30, says a survey conducted by LocalCirlces, a community engagement platform.

The survey was conducted across 150 cities in India in which over 800 citizens participated.

While 28% indicated they were yet to deposit their old currency, approximately 60% indicated that they have already deposited their old currency in the bank.

Approximately 8 per cent people said they don't need or want to deposit the old notes while the remaining 4% said they will be using the old notes where they are being accepted.
