adidas, a known name in the sporting goods industry, is returning with the second edition of its initiative Uprising 2.0, which is to inspire sports enthusiasts to discover the joy of playing sports.
The second edition will start from here on October 1 and end in Pune in December. It will be held in other cities including Chennai, New Delhi, Chandigarh and Mumbai.
"With the Uprising, we want to give people the opportunity to celebrate the spirit of sports. No more excuses. After a successful first edition in 2015, adidas Uprising 2.0 will be even bigger with multiple sporting events planned over 110 venues in six cities across India.
"We were able to impact the lives of over 45,000 people in season 1 and in this edition; we aim to more than double that number," Dave Thomas, Managing Director at adidas Group India, said in a statement.
The sporting activities and events include cricket, badminton, rugby, cycling, volleyball, tennis, football, basketball, running, athletics, as well as the alternative sports like wall climbing, aqua workout, phantom workout, yoga and zumba.
