Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J.Jayalalithaa on Sunday said her government has implemented several welfare schemes for the workers.
Addressing an election rally in this district, around 500 km from Chennai, on May Day, she said: "For the benefit of all kinds of workers, my government has implemented welfare schemes worth Rs.568 crore during the past five years."
Tamil Nadu goes to polls on May 16.
Jayalalithaa, who is also the general secretary of the ruling AIADMK, said her government has not only fulfilled all the poll promises made in 2011 but also implemented schemes that were not listed out in the last election's manifesto.
She also charged that the previous DMK government has not fulfilled its poll promises made in 2006.
Jayalalithaa also listed out various schemes implemented by her government in the Coimbatore district.
