Actor-singer Amanda Bynes will continue her stay at a psychiatric hospital for further treatment.
The 27-year-old's plea to get discharged was rejected by a judge when she appeared in front of him at a psych ward Thursday, reports tmz.com.
According to Bynes' lawyer, there was no legal basis to hold her further in the hospital and that she could take care of herself.
But the doctors argued that the actress was responding well to the medicines and should continue taking the medication under their guidance for two more weeks.
Bynes was ordered a 10-day stay in the hospital after starting a fire in the driveway of a home near Los Angeles. After the doctors stepped in for her treatment, her condition is said to have improved.
