Malayalam director Anil Kumar, who is making his Tamil directorial debut soon, will direct his yet-untitled romantic-thriller completely in New Zealand.
The film is expected to go on floors early next year. Vinay Rai and Madhurima Banerjee have been roped in to play the lead, while the rest of the cast will be finalized soon.
"The film will be completely shot in New Zealand. It's a travel love story laced with some mystery. It will be shot across the picturesque locations of New Zealand. Since I've been living here for over 15 years, I thought it would make sense to explore the place through our film," said producer Sasi Nambissan.
"The pre-production work is currently underway and we intend to start by January or February next year," he added.
Director Anil is known for Malayalam films such as "Manthrikan", "Hide N Seek" and "Climax".
