Actress Vidya Balan says art is beyond all boundaries and acts as a bridge to bring people together.
The actress, who is known for her critically acclaimed performances in films like "Paa" and "The Dirty Picture", expressed her views at the 17th Jio MAMI Mumbai Film Festival here. She attended the film gala on Friday for the screening of Hansal Mehta's "Aligarh".
Considering the controversial theme of homosexuality portrayed in the film, the actress was asked about the freedom that artists enjoy in making such films.
She said: "Art is above and beyond all boundaries, Art is actually a unifying factor which brings people together and that's how it should be and that's how it's meant to be."
The actress also shared that she was excited to watch the film for Hansal Mehta and its lead actor Rajkummar Rao.
