Bollywood actress Athiya Shetty added a dash of glitz and glamour direct from New York to the ongoing fashion week here when she turned muse for designer Namrata Joshipura.

Athiya, who is the brand ambassador of Maybelline New York, was the showstopper for the beauty brand's show with Joshipura at the fourth day of Amazon India Fashion Week (AIFW) Autumn-Winter 2016 on Saturday. The five-day fashion gala is taking place at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, here.

The actress walked the ramp in a shimmering floor length black jump suit with beautifully graded lips, which was a trend across shows this fashion week.

The designer presented her prêt collection, aimed at a woman who is modern, edgy, experimental and diverse.

The "Hero" actress was happy to be on the runway.

She said: "I really enjoyed the vibe of the show as it perfectly captured New York's energy and spirit. It was definitely an amazing, heart-pumping experience for me as I walked the stunning ramp for Maybelline New York."

Thrilled with the success of her show, Joshipura said: "One of the biggest reasons I partnered with Maybelline New York this season was because I loved the 'New York to New Delhi' concept that the brand had envisioned. I am elated to say that we have brought this alive on the ramp through not only my collection, but also the make-up and overall aesthetics."

Joshipura's collection draws its inspiration from the creativity and vibrancy of New York, with a mash-up of street style juxtaposed with the innovative new ideas in fashion, art and technology.

Along with laying down fashion trends for the season, the show also showcased the latest global trends in make-up with the association with the beauty brand.

The models walked down the ramp wearing garments which personified the spirit of Maybelline New York and New York.

The collection was inspired by the various hues of Color Sensational Lip Gradation by Maybelline New York with deep reds, berry tones, grape and wine used in graded contemporary and edgy techniques.

Maybelline makeup artist Elton J Fernandez, who created fabulous looks for the show said: "The unique elements of the look were the fierce eyes and the lips which stood out throughout the show."

The fourth day of the fashion week, which started on March 16, had its damp moments with sudden rain playing a spoilsport and dimming of lights at the fashion gala.
