Atletico Madrid president Enrique Cerezo reassured the football club's fans by saying that Argentine Diego Simeone will continue to coach the team until his 4-year contract expires.
When asked about the team's preparations for the next football season, Cerezo on Monday said that Atletico are looking for a striker, as well as other options, reports Efe.
Cerezo avoided commenting on possible talks with Benfica's Argentine midfielder Nico Gaitan, while he said the club plans to purchase a striker who scores a lot of goals and will help the team win a lot of trophies.
When asked about renewing the contract of home grown forward Fernando Torres, Cerezo said that negotiations are still ongoing but are expected to conclude soon.
