Atletico de Kolkata's most trusted Indian defender Arnab Mandal Wednesday sustained an ankle injury, raising concerns about his availability for the side's double leg play-off clash against FC Goa.
Arnab took the knock at the Saltlake stadium during the crucial Indian Super League encounter against the Goans, which was the last league encounter for both the teams.
Mondal, who forms the backbone of the defence alongside Spaniard Josemi, was a victim of a rough tackle in the 68th minute and had to be substituted by medio Rakesh Masih.
The two sides will clash in the play-off Sunday here and Dec 17 at Goa.
AATK coach Antonio Lopez Habas said he did not know the extent of the injury but hoped it was not a grave one.
"We do not know. We have to wait till tomorrow, hope it is not serious," said Habas to media persons at the post match conference after their 1-1 draw against F.C Goa.
