Ayushmann Khurrana's soulful voice and youth connect helped him strike the right chords with the youth at the Microsoft VFest 2015 here. He says performing in Goa was a nostalgic experience for him.

The "Vicky Donor" actor began his performance with "Saddi gali" and enthralled fans with his multiple music hits at the extravaganza Friday.

The actor said that coming to Goa revived his own teenage memories of his first trip to the scenic state, which is marked by greenery and soothing beaches.

"I came to Goa for the first time in 2002 and that too by collecting money from people on the train to Mumbai by singing songs and entertaining them," Ayushmann said here.

The Microsoft VFest 2015 is being attended by youngsters from all over the country, and they were seen swaying their hands to Ayushmann's tunes.

He also sang tracks like "Mera mann", followed by "Dil-e-nadaan".

Also present at the concert was singer Shweta Pandit, who accompanied Ayushmann in his rendition of "Saddi gali", which he originally sang for his movie "Nautanki Saala".

The finale of the Microsoft VFest 2015 is happening here, following the VFest zonals, which analysed college students for various talents. They were carried out in six cities -- Mumbai, Pune, Delhi, Bengaluru, Kolkata, Ahmedabad.

The finals of the festival feature the qualified teams' performance at the gala.

Organised by Channel V, VFest is a pan-India college festival. Over the last few years, the fest has gained popularity among youngsters. With the onset of its fifth year, the extravaganza has been rebranded as VFest from its earlier title -- Indiafest.

"Don't give up on your passion, that's the message we're sending to the colleges," a Channel V spokesperson, told IANS.
