The makers of upcoming Tamil suspense-thriller "Madhu Maadhu Soodhu", which revolves around an incident in a bar during New Year celebrations, have refurbished an old bar for Rs.50 lakh to shoot the film.
"We took a real bar in Tirupur and completely modified its interiors for about Rs.50 lakh. We shot the entire film in that bar for about 40 days in one schedule," read a statement from the production house Rajashanthru Films.
"The film is slated to release in May and currently the post-production work is going on in full swing. The film's story is about a drug addict, who gets embroiled in some incidents during New Year celebrations," the statement read further.
"Silanthi" fame Chandru, who has now been rechristened as Rajashanthru, has directed, produced as well as played the lead in the film.
"Madhu Maadhu Soodhu" also features debutants Chandana and Vignesha in important roles.
