Barcelona will loan Brazilian defender Douglas Pereira to the Turkish club Sivasspor for one season, the Spanish club said.
Douglas signed for Barça in the summer of 2014 from Sao Paulo for 5.5 million euros ($6.4 million), but played only eight games in the following two seasons, reports Efe.
"Barcelona and the Turkish club agree to a deal for the right back to play for the latter in the 2018/2019 season," the La Liga champions confirmed on their official website on Monday.
Douglas had been on loan for most of his time with Barcelona, spending a season at both Sporting Gijon and Benfica.
Both the defender and his ex-club wanted to resolve their situation before the team's exhibition-match tour in the United States, and he will not travel on Tuesday with the rest of the squad.
