Reigning German Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich will be without their stars Franck Ribery and Bastian Schweinsteiger when travelling to face FC Porto in the first leg of Champions League football tournament quarter-finals on Wednesday.
"Bastian and Franck can't travel, which is a pity, coach Pep (Guardiola) will decide which young players we'll take with us," said Matthias Sammer, director of sport of the club on Monday, reports Xinhua.
French winger Ribery was bothered by an ankle injury sustained last month and German midfielder Schweinsteiger has been ruled out with a virus.
The injury-hit Bayern will also be without their left-back David Alaba and right winger Arjen Robben.
