Beauty pageant launched for east India

A beauty pageant launched here seeks to highlight the inherent beauty of women from east India and transform them into top models, organisers said on Friday.

The 'OLS AEast Diva 2016' contest has been launched Aby L'amar Group in association with Max Fashion Stores to train and groom young women become stronger individuals.

"East Indian women are widely known for their serene beauty, beautiful eyes, soft flowing tresses and buttery smooth skin. They are equally conscious about style and fashion and can give any top model a run for their money provided they are groomed properly.

"With proper training and grooming in makeup, these girls are just a step away from becoming the most sought after glamour dolls. East Diva is the platform that lets these girls express themselves and emerge as stronger individuals," the organisers said in a statement.

Auditions are conducted for all the registered entries received. A final list of 40 girls will be chosen, the release said.
