West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Friday launched a new web portal Egiye Bangla to boost connectivity, information sharing with the masses and also bolster e-services.
The previous portal Banglar Mukh was primarily an information-oriented platform but the latest not only doles out updates of various departments of the state government but also enables one to avail e-services.
New services will be continuously added to the basket of options.
Some of the key features that citizens will be able to access are statistics, important updates, tender, contacts of state departments and their officials, citizen's welfare initiatives, tourism etc.
The state government is also expanding its presence on social media and one can subscribe to or follow the portal on Facebook, Twitter and YouTube.
