Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav will inaugurate the summit, which will see delegates from around 60 countries, said Mukul Singh, state's principal secretary for small industries and exports who was in the city to review arrangements for the event.
Singh said the state government would use the opportunity to release its industrial policy, food processing and IT policies and showcase various investment opportunities in the state.
The state tourism department has been roped in to organise cultural programmes during the summit, Singh said, adding that he had a detailed discussion with district officials to make the event a grand success.
Uttar Pradesh is the partner state of the 19th edition of global partnership summit. Themed 'Global Partnerships for Enduring Growth', the summit is being organised by the Confederation of Indian Industries.
