Scores of BJP workers who were here since Saturday night broke down minutes after it became clear the party was facing a massive debacle in the Bihar assembly polls.

"We had not even dreamt of this kind of results. It's a complete heartbreak for us," said Satish, a young Bharatiya Janata Party worker, on Sunday.

"We were really hopeful that the BJP would win, but it's really sad that we are losing," he added.

Many other workers were in tears as the results showed the BJP losing the battle for Bihar. Senior party workers tried to console them, saying "winning and losing are two faces of the same coin", but it did not seem to cut much ice with the disheartened workers.
