Biker, pillion rider killed in Delhi accident

A biker and his pillion rider were killed here Monday after a speeding autorickshaw hit their vehicle, police said. The autorickshaw driver was arrested.

The incident occurred on Alipur Road in north Delhi around 4.30 a.m., police said.

"Bike driver Prashant, 18, and Deepak Tyagi, 22, his relative, both residents of Wazirabad, fell down on the road after the autorickshaw hit their vehicle and died on the spot," said a police officer.

One of their friends, who was on another motorcycle informed police about the incident. They were returning home from Murthal in Haryana, the officer said.

Auto-rickshaw driver Arvind Tyagi was arrested.
