At least four women were killed and six others injured Monday in a suicide attack in Pakistan' Peshawar city, police said.
A suicide bomber exploded his explosive-laden vest in Peshawar's Essa Khel Garhi area, killing four women and leaving six others injured, the Dawn reported citing Superintendent of Police Najeeb.
Police conducted a raid in the area on a tipoff about the presence of some suspicious people. During the operation, police chased the suspects, but one of them detonated his vest in the area, said Najeeb.
Shafqat Malik, chief of Peshawar's bomb disposal unit, said around six kg of high-grade explosives and ball bearings were used in the blast.
