A boat carrying 19 illegal immigrants capsized near Turkish coast of Aydin province in the Aegean Sea, leaving one person dead and seven others missing.
Turkish coast guards rescued 11 people from the sea, but their nationalities could not be immediately ascertained, Xinhua reported Friday.
Aydin Governor Erol Ayyildiz confirmed the incident saying that bad weather conditions could have caused the incident.
Authorities, as well as a helicopter and four rescue boats, are still searching for the missing people.
The illegal migrants were trying to go to the Sesame Island of Greece.
