Food company Britannia Industries on Saturday posted a decline of 19.16 percent in its net consolidated profit at Rs.218.63 crore for the second quarter ended September 30 this year as against Rs.270.46 crore in the same quarter of the last fiscal.
In a regulatory filing with the Bombay Stock Exchange, the comapny said its total income has increased from Rs.1,974.51 crore during July-September 2014 to Rs. 2208.65 crore in the simialr months of 2015.
On a standalone basis, its net profit declined by 19.5 percent at Rs.203.68 crore as against Rs.253.04 crore while the total income increased by 11.85 percent at Rs.2,032.93 crore during July-September as against Rs.1,817.41 crore in the corresponding months of 2014.
