The Delhi government on Monday conveyed to Lt. Governor Najeeb Jung that the letter he wrote was against the provisions of the Constitution and thus the government cannot pay heed to it. Instead, it will write to the \prime minister over it.

In a letter to Jung, the Aam Aadmi Party government sought Prime Minster Nrendra Modi's intervention's in the tussle between the two over the postings and transfers of bureaucrats in the national capital.

"We received your letter today. What you have written is against the Constitution and that's why we cannot pay heed to it. In this matter, our chief minster (Arvind Kejriwal) will write to the prime minister," a government source quoted to IANS from the letter to the Lt. Governor.

The letter has been written in reply to Jung's missive received on Monday. Jung rejected additional charge of principal secretary (services) being given to Rajendra Kumar, who is the secretary to the chief minister.

Rajendra Kumar replaced Anindo Majumdar as principal secretary (services), who notified the order of Shankuntala Gamlin being appointed as acting chief secretary of the Delhi government.
