The CBI on Thursday grilled former communications minister Dayanidhi Maran for the second consecutive day in the case involving the installation of over 700 phonelines at his Chennai residence.
Maran appeared before the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) headquarters here around 11 a.m. and since then is being questioned by a CBI Special Task Force (STF) team.
"He reached at the headquarters around 11 a.m. and our STF team, which is probing the case, is questioning him," a CBI official told IANS.
Maran was also questioned by the team for over seven hours on Wednesday.
He has been charged with misusing 770 phonelines, including 323 high-data capacity BSNL lines at his Boat House residence in Chennai.
