The CBI on Wednesday registered seven new FIRs in connection with its probe into the Vyapam scam in Madhya Pradesh.
The first case was registered against five people on charges of irregularities in the Police Constable Recruitment Test 2013, the CBI said in a release.
The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) registered the second case against three people in connection with the illegalities in the Police Constable Recruitment Test 2013 conducted by Vyavsayik Pariksha Mandal (Vyapam), or the Madhya Pradesh Professional Examination Board (MPPEB).
The third case was registered against 17 people accused of irregularities pertaining to the Pre Medical Test 2010.
The fourth case was registered against 60 people on charges of irregularities in the Pre Medical Tests of 2008, 2009 and 2011.
Ten people were booked in the fifth case on charges of irregularities in the Vanrakshak Recruitment Examination 2013.
The sixth case was registered against three people for irregularities pertaining to the Vanrakshak Recruitment Examination 2013.
The seventh case was registered against 20 people for irregularities in the Police Constable Recruitment Test 2013.
The CBI has already registered 76 FIRs and launched 12 preliminary inquiries into the Vyapam scam.
The Supreme Court on July 9 handed over the Vyapam cases to the central investigating agency. Over 40 people linked with the scam have died under mysterious circumstances or committed suicide.
