Cheryl hands rings back to ex-husband

Singer Cheryl Fernandez-Versini has handed her engagement ring back to her ex-husband Jean Bernard Fernandez-Versini.

The 33-year-old pop star and the French businessman recently finalised their divorce after a 19-month marriage. Cheryl has handed her engagement ring and a 15,000 pound wedding band, back to him, reports people.com.

Cheryl is also sending back Versini's mother's ring, which was a gift from the 36-year-old businessman on their first wedding anniversary.

She will, however, retain her 20 million pound fortune as part of their divorce settlement, which was confirmed by the Central Family Court in London earlier this month during a hearing that lasted 14 seconds.

The "Call my name" hitmaker filed for divorce shortly after their split in August last year and she has blamed Versini for her dramatic weight-loss during their marriage.

The pair tied the knot on Macaroni Beach in Mustique on July 7, 2014, after only three months of dating following a meeting at the Cannes Film Festival in France.

Cheryl is now dating former One Direction band member star Liam Payne, 23. The celebrity duo are rumoured to be expecting their first child together.
