Mixed doubles pair of Xu Xin (China) and South Korea's Yang Hae-un made it to the final after beating a Hong Kong duo at the World Table Tennis Championships here on Thursday.
Given court side advice by China head coach Liu Guoliang and his South Korean counterpart Ahn Jae-hyung, the trans-national pair overcame Wong Chun Ting and Doo Hopi Kem 11-6, 11-5, 9-11, 11-5, 11-9, reports Xinhua.
Ahn, who is married to former Chinese World Champion Jiao Zhimin, is head coach of the South Korean men's team.
Xu and Yang will vie for the title against Japanese Maharu Yoshimura and Kasumi Ishikawa, who stunned defending champions Kim Hyok Bong and Kim Jong from North Korea 11-8, 5-11, 11-6, 10-12, 11-7, 11-4.
