The assessment of post-graduates will be tightened in China.
The students' academic papers will be more strictly assessed and examined, according to guidelines issued by the education ministry, reports Xinhua.
Those who indulge in unethical behaviour when writing their dissertations will lose their degrees, it said.
In 2012, China had 1.72 million students working on post-graduate degrees.
