Both the men's and women's teams from China were victorious in the semi-finals over Chinese Taipei and Singapore at the International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF) team World Cup at the Al-Nasr Sports Club here.
The Chinese women's team comprising Ding Ning, Liu Shiwen, and Zhu Yuling won against Singapore with a clear 3-0 victory Saturday and will meet North Korea in the final Sunday, reports Xinhua.
Ding Ning scored an easy 3-0 victory against Li Isabelle Siyun in the singles match and then teamed up with Liu Shiwen in the doubles. The North korean team won over Japan 3-0.
In the men's competitions, the Chinese team did not give a chance to Chinese Taipei, winning 3-0.
China will encounter Austria Sunday in the final. The Austrians entered the final after beating Portugal 3-0.
