A class 12 student of a government school here has been arrested for sexually assaulting a kindergarten student of the same school, police said Thursday.
The five-year-old victim informed her parents about the incident that happened around Wednesday noon.
The victim's parents then approached the school principal.
The 19-year-old accused was caught Wednesday in the school, which is located in north Delhi's Civil Lines area.
Police said the accused assaulted the girl inside a classroom when other students were playing outside.
The primary school functions till noon, while senior classes continue till 3 p.m.
