It was a warm morning in the capital Friday with the minimum temperature settling at 26 degrees Celsius, average for this time of the year. The Met Office has forecast a hot day ahead.
"The sky will remain clear and a hot day lies ahead for Delhi. The maximum temperature is expected to reach about 42 degrees Celsius," an India Meteorological Department official said.
Humidity recorded at 8.30 a.m. was 39 percent.
The city experienced hot weather conditions Thursday with the minimum temperature settling at 25.4 degrees Celsius and the maximum at 40.8 degrees Celsius - both a notch above average.
