Fortaleza (Brazil), July 5 (IANS/EFE) Colombia midfielder Carlos Sanchez lamented his side's elimination from the World Cup following the 1-2 loss to Brazil in the quarterfinals, but noted that they are leaving with their heads held high.
The 28-year-old said that his teammates are leaving with sadness but they are proud of their performance they delivered Friday at the Castelao Stadium here, reports EFE.
Sanchez added that Brazil is a strong team and if they continue playing like this, they will be crowned champions. He concluded that his country made history by qualifying to the quarterfinals of the tournament for the first time.
