Corinthians are close to confirming a friendly against English non-league outfit Corinthian-Casuals to be held Jan 25 next year.
"We are trying to find a base for them (Corinthian-Casuals) and then we will make an announcement," Corinthians' marketing manager Alexandre Ferreira said Monday, reports Xinhua.
Corinthians-Casual, who are said to have inspired the name from their more illustrious Brazilian counterparts, currently play in the semi-professional Isthmian League.
The London-based club last played in a friendly against the five-time Brazilian champions in 2001.
January's fixture will come just days after Corinthians' participation in the Florida Cup alongside Fluminense, Bayer Leverkusen and FC Koln.
