A Delhi court on Thursday extended the seven-day police custody of a man arrested on the charge of supplying confidential information to Pakistan's spy agency ISI.

Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Sanjay Khanagwal remanded Kafaitullah Khan alias Master Raja in police custody till December 10 to allow Delhi Police to question him.

Khan who was working as an assistant librarian in Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir was arrested by the crime branch of Delhi Police on November 26 on the charge of obtaining secret information related to India's national security and passing it on to the Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) of Pakistan.

He was presented before the court on the expiry of his seven-day police custody.

Delhi Police told the court that Khan was required to be taken to Jammu and Darjeeling to identify his associates.

Police told the court that his custodial interrogation was required for unearthing the espionage conspiracy.

Police also told court that he was supplying documents to ISI operative Faizal, who is residing in Pakistan.

It added that Khan was collecting secret documents from some officials of the Border Security Force (BSF) in Jammu and passing them on to ISI operatives.

Later, Delhi Police also arrested Abdul Rasheed, a head constable in the BSF posted in Jammu and Kashmir, who is now in police custody till December 7.
