A court here Saturday told police to register a case against Bollywood director Sanjay Leela Bhansali, actor Ranveer Singh, actress Deepika Padukone and others for allegedly hurting religious sentiments of people in their upcoming movie "Ram Leela", a lawyer said.
A complaint was filed by advocate Pawan Sharma in the court of the additional chief metropolitan magistrate.
"In the complaint, we have stated that going by the promo, the movie 'Ram Leela', which is slated for release Nov 15, is promoting enmity between different groups on ground of religion," Sharma said.
He said that the court took cognizance of the compliant and asked the Shyam Nagar police in the city to register a first information report (FIR).
"The court has directed the police to investigate the complainant," said Sharma.
