After producing three Academy Awards shows, duo Craig Zadan and Neil Meron will not return as Oscar producers for the next year, their representatives have confirmed.
Meron also tweeted about the news on Thursday, saying he and Zadan "would like to thank The Academy", reports variety.com.
Earlier, Zadan hinted at the exit when he posted on Twitter: "Hoping that whoever produces the Oscars next year will retain our innovations: TeamOscar program & reading all 24 nom on Oscar nom morning."
Producing the show is time-consuming, and the duo have plenty on their plate.
Zadan and Meron had a three-year contract with the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, which wanted to nail down some continuity.
Some of the producers who have shown keen interest in recent years, includes Bill Condon-Laurence Mark, Brian Grazer and Adam Shankman.
