Creativity will stand out even without celebs: Designer

Fashion designer Richa Ranawat says whether designers decide to have celebrities as their showstopper or not, it's the creativity that will eventually stand out.

How important is it to have a celebrity on board while showcasing a fashion line?

"In the industry, it's kind of very difficult. Everyone wants to take actresses, celebs as showstoppers. Earlier, models used to be your showstopper. That way your designs used to be more highlighted and it would give you more exposure," Richa told IANS.

"Having said that, eventually your creativity speaks how creative you can be. I strongly believe that creativity will stand out even without a celebrity," said Richa, who has designed for actors like Vahbbiz Dorabjee and Anita Hassanandani Reddy.

But Richa also believes celebrities certainly give a push to their fashion line.

She said: "Celebrities do help us a lot in many ways. Celebrities give a push to our clothing as they are public figures."

Richa says for her, fashion is all about confidence.

"If you are confident about what you are wearing, you will be comfortable," she added.
