CRPF trooper missing after he is refused leave

A Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) trooper went missing from Shopian district in Jammu and Kashmir on Friday after his leave was refused by his seniors.

Police sources identified him as Constable Baran Rai of 14 Battalion whose leave application was turned down.

It is believed that the trooper has proceeded to his home in Assam without permission. "We are investigating the case," a police officer said.
