Cruz Azul, managed by Pedro Caixhina, has retained the top spot in the Liga MX Apertura football tournament standings.
Pachuca, managed by Spaniard Pako Ayestaran, rolled to a 3-1 win over Cruz Azul on Saturday, reports Efe.
Cruz Azul is still the Liga MX leader, with 23 points, thanks to second-place America, which played to a 1-1 tie with Guadalajara.
America could have moved into first place with a victory over Guadalajara.
America and defending champion Santos Laguna both have 21 points, but the Aguilas are in second place on goal differential.
Monterrey is in fourth place, with 20 points, while the Pumas UNAM are in fifth place, with 19 points.
French striker Andre Pierre Gignac scored two goals for the Tigres UANL in their 2-0 win over Queretaro and is tied at the top of the list of top scorers with Argentine Julio Furch, who helped Santos Laguna defeat Necaxa 1-0.
