Murdered teenager Aarushi Talwar's dentist parents, accused in the killing, were Tuesday allowed by a court here to leave the national capital region for filing a plea in the Allahabad High Court to summon some witnesses.

Rajesh and Nupur Talwar needed the permission from Central Bureau of Investigation Special Judge S. Lal before leaving the national capital region (NCR) as the Supreme Court had imposed restrictions on their movements while granting them bail.

The Talwars plan to file an application in the high court to seek the summoning of over a dozen witnesses whose names figured in a list submitted by the prosecution but were not presented in the trial court hearing the case.

Defence counsel Manoj Shishodia said the trial court granted them permission to leave the NCR and adjourned the hearing till May 17.

The development in the trial court came after the apex court recently directed the Talwars to approach the high court with their plea summoning the witnesses in question.

The trial court had earlier turned down the Talwars' application to summon the witnesses.

Aarushi, 14, was found murdered at her parents' Noida residence May 16, 2008. The body of their domestic help Hemraj was found the next day on the terrace of the house.
