Actor David Cassidy has been charged for his involvement in an alleged hit-and-run accident in Florida last month.
"The Partridge Family" actor was reportedly involved in a crash on September 9 in Florida where he allegedly sideswiped a truck and is then alleged to have tried to cover his license plate before driving away.
Cassidy was reportedly identified by witnesses in an image lineup as the driver who fled the accident, with charges filed on Wednesday, reports mirror.co.uk.
The star's lawyer Jason Forman has countered the police's case claiming his client provided his driver's license and registration information before driving to a hospital for an unrelated visit.
He said Friday: "There's certainly a lot of major inconsistencies in the report."
A hearing has been scheduled for October 27. Cassidy was previously arrested for driving under the influence (DUI) here in 2013.
