Delhi Lt. Governor Najeeb Jung on Tuesday pledged to "establish corruption free state" in the national capital and said the Delhi government is committed to give an honest administration and restore probity in public life.

"The government is steadfastly committed to the establishment of the national capital as a corruption free state and has made every effort to restore probity in public life," Jung said in his address to the Delhi assembly at the beginning of the budget session.

The budget will presented by Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia, who holds the finance portfolio, on March 28 and the session will last till March 31.

"My government provides governance and delivery of public services in a transparent and efficient manner," Jung said, adding that the Arvind Kejriwal government has achieved a lot in its first year by providing affordable and quality services in fields of education, health and public transportation.

"Providing accessible, affordable and quality healthcare facility is of high priority to my government. The government intends to set up 1,000 Aam Aadmi Mohalla Clinics in several parts of Delhi for providing quality primary health care. One such clinic has already been started at Peeragarhi area," he said.

He said that the air pollution in Delhi has reached an alarming level and the government would ensure that all necessary measures were taken to protect environment and make the city livable for the generations to come.

"The government's efforts in organising 'odd even' formula during the first fortnight of January this year received overwhelming response from the people and on popular demand, the scheme will be re-launched during the second fortnight of April," Jung added lauding efforts of the Kejriwal government with whom he had been at loggerheads over several issues.
