Twenty children from across India and Nepal living in shelter homes here have been reunited with their families, Delhi Police said on Thursday.

"Twenty children aged between 10-16 years were united recently with their respective families," Joint Commissioner of Police Ravindra Yadav said.

"Two of the children were the resident of Nepal while others belong to Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Assam, Bihar, Madhya Pradesh and Delhi," Yadav said.

In addition to this 20 children, Delhi Police have till date reunited 120 children with their families under "Operation Milap", a special drive launched in 2014 by their Anti-Human Trafficking Unit to unite missing children with their families.

"Our officers would check each and every missing child across various childrens' shelter homes, railway stations and other places. We would undertake all possible efforts to get clues about their parents so that they are reunited with their families," he said.
