Delhi's Public Works Department (PWD) has set up a 10-member team of engineers to conduct quality control checks and technical audits of all ongoing construction works, an official said on Thursday.
The "Quality Assurance Unit" has been constituted by PWD Minister Satyendra Jain and will provide technical inputs for government projects like construction of buildings, roads, flyovers and works being done under the MLAs Local Area Development scheme.
"Construction work being carried out by various civic agencies, including the three municipalities, will be covered under this," the statement said.
The team will be headed by a superintending engineer. It will have four executive engineers and four assistant engineers.
