Dell's India arm on Wednesday announced the launch of its 'Back to College' campaign for this year to target college-going students and boost sales in their consumer segment.

Rival Acer has launched a 'Back to School' campaign with an online tutorial platform Vedantu to offer monthly tuitions, IIT foundation course to preparing for exams such as National Talent Search Examination (NTSE) and prostate-specific antigen (PSA) to students.

As part of the campaign, college students will get offers on purchases of Dell laptops and will also be able to participate in contests that Dell believes will allow the students to explore their fortes through the use of personal technology. It also promises to enhance their learning through the online space.

Students buying a Dell Inspiron laptops can avail offers worth Rs.11,298 (by paying just Rs.1,699). The offers also includes gift vouchers from Levis or Jabong, Sennheiser earphones, one year additional warranty and Dell's secure laptop pack consisting of a one year license for MacAfee anti-virus software and Absolute Lojack (a solution that can help consumers locate, lock, delete and recover their device).

"The. Learn. Share. Inspire" campaign is driven by the potential of technology to transform the lives of college going students," Ritu Gupta, director of marketing, consumer & small business, Dell India said.

"Students, at this phase in their lives, are looking to perfectly balance their academic and social lives, and technology gives them the platform to do this. This Back to College season, our goal is to be present on the platforms that are most familiar to them, be it at their college or where they like to hang out online," Gupta added.

Dell will also conduct several online activities and contests like, #CarryYourColour picture contest,#PackedwithPotential contest and the #LearnitShareit campaign where the USA-headquartered company will showcase through videos how technology plays a vital role in achieving more.

"Through this campaign, we also aim to better equip college students to combine their creativity with technological know-how, allowing them to not only acquire but to also share and exchange knowledge in an increasingly social age," Gupta said.

The 'Back to College' offer is valid on Inspiron notebook purchases (Core i3, i5, i7) made on or between May 29 and June 30 across the country from authorized Dell outlets or dell.co.in.
