A 29-year-old dental surgeon at AIIMS committed suicide by hanging herself in her accommodation in the hospital premises Tuesday afternoon, police said. No suicide note was found.

The body of Varnika Pandey, a native of Patna, was spotted by her husband Paras Khanna in their hostel room.

Police said Khanna, who is a surgeon in the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), had come home for lunch.

Varnika married to Khanna in November last year. They were living together in the hostel accommodation.

The case has been sent to a magistrate, said a police officer.
