Former Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti said that Angel di Maria will take Paris Saint-Germain to the next level.
The 56-year-old Italian, who coached PSG in 2011-2013 season and led Les Parisiens to their first Ligue 1 champions in the 21st century, managed Di Maria during their time together at Real Madrid.
Di Maria was sold to Manchester United last summer and then moved to Paris after an unsuccessful season in the English Premier League.
According to Ancelotti, the 27-year-old Argentine midfielder's unselfishness will be of huge benefit to the French champions.
"Di Maria will help PSG progress, because he is a team player more than anything else. He is not a selfish player at all," Xinhua quoted Ancelotti as saying on Wednesday.
"I played him in midfield at Madrid because we needed to find a solution after Sami Khedira got injured. He did very well in midfield.
"But I do not think that is his best position. He is even better in attack. He could play on either wing and even as a centre forward," added the experienced Italian.
Di Maria, who played a key role in Real's Champions League triumph under Ancelotti in 2014, has played six out of nine Ligue 1 matches so far this season for PSG, started for four times and scored twice.
